We offer this technique-based glass painting course for those who wish to learn the correct ways to use traditional stained glass painting tools and materials to achieve the best results.
This is a LEVEL ONE course - Suitable for beginners.
What does the course cover?
You will learn how to mix paints, which brushes to use, how to trace, matt and shade your design and how to fire the paint and silver stain on to the glass.
You will get to grips with this process by producing a series of pieces of hand-painted work throughout the day and you will fire them in our glass kilns. We aim to give you the knowledge and confidence to further your progression in this art through experimentation. We will cover traditional working methods in stained glass production.
On completion of the course you will receive a Guild Membership card which entitles you to 10% off your next course as well as other benefits.
What do I need to bring?
Please wear sturdy shoes (no open toes) and old clothes. All tools, materials and aprons will be provided.
We will provide a delicious cold lunch from Pret a Manger as well as light refreshments throughout the day. Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements. We will do our best to cater to everyone but this cannot always be guaranteed.
What are the course times?
The course starts at 10am and runs until approximately 4.30pm. There is a chance that it may overrun depending on progress.
We will try to make our courses accessible to all however if you have any disabilities or physical limitations of any kind we ask that you discuss it with us before booking.
