Incense Burner Mould
High quality ceramic mould is perfect for buring incense, the mould is easy to use and durable for countless firings.
Create fused art with this functional mould. Place your glass over the mould and fire to capture the dish design. Use fusible glass and add stringers, confetti, and even decals to add excitement.
Always elevate moulds with kiln posts for good circulation.
Prepare mould with a primer before firing, we recommend either Primo Primer, ZYP or MO-RE Boron Nitride Mould release sprays. Mould measures 12" x 2" (30.5 x 5cm) approx.
To create the hole to hold the incense follow these simple steps:
1. Cut a strip of 1/8" (3mm) thick fibre paper to 1/4" x 1/2." Cut a strip of glass to 1/4" x 2-1/4".
2. Cut a 2-1/4" x 12" piece of glass for the body of the incense burner. Position the fibre paper and glass strip on top of the base glass, about 1" from the end. Full fuse.
3. Leave the fibre paper in place. Position the full fused piece of glass on the mould and slump.
4. To remove the fibre paper use a piece of wire or a pipe cleaner.
An alternative option is to use a 1/8" diamond drill bit to drill a hole in the glass after the piece is slumped.
