New Dates Added!
A unique opportunity to explore new directions in fused glass with the amazing Brad Walker on this five day masterclass course.
Time to move beyond the basics and onto a smorgasbord of intermediate and advanced kiln-forming techniques. No matter your experience level, you’re certain to learn something new in this five-day, action-packed, hands-on workshop using System 96 glass. We’ll cover the latest on different fused glass techniques, with a focus on three main areas:
- From basic crackle with glass powder to variations with silver, reactions, and spacing
- Harnessing flow with stringers and pattern bars
- Creating strip pieces that don’t just walk the straight and narrow
- Special bonus: tricks with iridized glass
In addition to learning a wealth of techniques, Brad will cover firing schedules, troubleshooting, basic coldworking, and more. You’ll leave with lots of sample tiles, several completed projects, and handouts of major topics covered.
A knowledge of basic fusing principles is essential, and the ability to cut glass is required.
Brad Walker is founder and owner of warmglass.com, the internet’s longest running website devoted strictly to kiln-forming. He is also the author of two books: Contemporary Warm Glass and Contemporary Fused Glass.
