If you are a beginner in glasswork and want an in-depth look at the craft behind stained glass windows and mirrors, then this is the course for you. Run from our Bristol studios.
This is a LEVEL ONE course - Suitable for beginners.
What does the course cover?
As opposed to our taster day course, this weekend provides a more detailed look at making a stained glass panel, working on more elaborate designs within a template. You will choose your glass from our vast selection and our expert tutors will show you how to cut it to a pattern. You will then be taught how to cut and shape your lead came, solder it, cement it and polish it. You will complete a stained glass light-catcher or mirror to take home. The piece will be 12" x 12".
With this course we are offering you the chance to learn key skills to begin a new glass hobby.
There is a maximum of 10 students on this course to ensure individual attention.
On completion of the course you will receive a Guild Membership card which entitles you to 10% off your next course as well as other benefits.
Note: This course involves working with lead, for safety reasons we recommend that pregnant women do not attend.
