The Art of Painting on Glass - Albinas Elskus

The Art of Painting on Glass by Albinas Elskus

This long out of print book is now reprinted by Albinas Elskus' Son Albin. Now available exclusively at Creative Glass Guild.  We are proud to offer this excellent book.  The only book of its kind, the bible for glass painters and stainers.  Essential for any glass studio.

World renowned glass painter, Albinas Elskus, combines centuries-old artistry and contemporary techniques in "The Art of Painting on Glass". This sixth edition has been completely updated with the most current supplies and suppliers, as well as additional works of the author. Dick Millard, Master Glass Painter and Director of the Antrim School at Millard Studios says "it provides the most comprehensive sources for paints, vehicles and relative material supplies for the art of stained glass painting, with detailed explanations as to the properties and contributions of each. For any student of this unique Art, or Stained Glass in general, ALBINAS ELSKUS' book is one of the most essential volumes for all Stained Glass Libraries, incomplete without this volume!"

    Recommended for good reason
    By Pj Eames

Have been recommended this book several times but hadn't found a second hand copy at an affordable price.
Delighted to find it in reprint via Creative Glass Guild.
Well presented, detailed guide to tools and paint techniques including helpful photos and some encouragement to experiment - surprisingly even finger painting included.
A real feeling of connecting with the history of glass painting and a useful supplement to lessons and workshops with modern masters of the art.
