    We can be found at Unit 4, St Philips Central, Albert Road, Bristol, BS2 0XJ.  England.Near Temple Meads Station, just off Albert Rd.   • Can you deliver to another address?

    Yes. There is an option at check-out to ask us to send to a different address.

  • Do you deliver overseas?

  • Can I get glass cut to size?

    Yes. Please call to get glass sheets cut to specific sizes. You can also visit our Bristol store.  A cutting charge will be applied.

  • Is it safe to send glass?

    Yes. We ship thousands of parcels every year containing glass. Using our special packing methods.       

  • Are my deliveries insured?

  • Can I return Items?

    Of course, You may return them within 28 days if they are unopened, uncut and unused, please see our delivery information page for details.

  • Can I visit your shop?

    You are welcome to. We open 7 days a week to trade and public, and until 8pm Thursdays.

  • Do you have a technical team?

    We do (most of us contribute to this in our own areas). If we don’t know the answer, we may be able to direct you to someone who can.

  • Can I order over the phone?

    Yes. During store opening hours orders can be placed by telephone.

  • Can I collect my order in store?

  • Can I hire your kilns?

    Yes. Visit our Hire page for pricing, then call us to book a date.  We’ll help you program them too.  

  • Can I order specials?

    You can, they may take some time to arrive if they have to be imported or sourced.  We will ask for pre-payment.

  • What are the wobbles and marks in the glass?

    Most of our glass is hand made and so has imperfections and marks here and there, some have bubbles too.  It is part of the charm If you are... Read more

  • Can I get special lead sizes?

    Yes. We can supply special lead sizes to order.  Minimum order is one 25kg box of non-standard sizes that are not listed on our website.

  • What is the maximum size of glass I can have?

    This depends on the manufacturer, we offer a range of sizes online for delivery, larger sheets are available.  Please call.

  • How thick is the glass?

    Most of our glass is 3mm (1/8”) though there are thinner glasses and thicker.  Please see descriptions.

  • Can you colour match glass?

    We can indeed, bring in or post us a sample, we will do our best to find a match if it is still made.

  • What are your delivery charges?

    This depends on weight, light weight things are sent by Royal Mail, heavier items by UPS.&nbs... Read more

  • Can I use a pottery kiln for Glass Fusing?

    In theory, yes. In practise it is difficult, giving somewhat mixed results. The right tool for the job is our motto.

  • I've lots of old glass & bottles can I fuse them?

  • Can I view my order history?

  • Do you cut glass bottles?

    No. We don't offer this as a service as it is uneconomical.  We do however sell bottle cutting kits.

  • What is Glass Fusing?

    Glass fusing is the heating of glass in a kiln to a point whereby it melts and fuses (binds) together permanently.  It is often referred to as kiln fired glass and also warm glass (as opposed to hot glass for blown glass).  Glass fusing is often combined with techniques like slumping, which is the method used to shape glass into or over glass moulds (sometimes spelt molds).  This process is usually carried out at a lower temperature than fusing and as a separate firing.  You can l...   • Which lead came should I use for 3mm glass?

    Standard Lead Came has a heart (internal height) of 5mm, most glass for stained glass work is around 3mm thick, this leaves room for cement (waterproofer) which you push into the gaps to seal the panel.  If you are using a thicker glass there is a 7mm heart (high heart lead) which will help accommodate this.  You can choose your lead's width (across the top/bottom) according to your design and the situation.  We recommend a 12mm H section for edging windows which will go into frames (you can trim the edges if needed) and C o...   • Can I fuse and slump at the same time?

    No. Fusing requires higher heat than slumping and should be done first, followed by a second firing.  Moulds arent as resilient as shelves and dont like such high heat which may cause them damage, you need less heat to shape or textur... Read more

  • Why can't I wear flip flops or sandals in your shop?

    Would you wear flip flops in your studio? Our shop is a hazardous environment, we won't allow you to put yourself at risk.

  • Can I bring my children to your shop?
