Lead Vice
Lead vices are used to hold lead in place while stretching, it screws to a bench and has a spring loaded mechanism.
It is best to stretch your lead came prior to using in your stained glass window as it removes any wobbles and kinks, whilst making it slightly more rigid. Take care not to over stretch as it can make the lead weaker or snap! Keep a foot behind you in case you lose your grip or the lead breaks - this will save you ending up in a heap on the floor!

It works
By DebbieI was pleasantly surprised that this actually does work. I have managed to straighten out all my mangled lead.
My only criticism is that the hole is too close to the back making it a bit to close to the edge of my work bench to fix it in place.
