  • Easy to cut - perfect for beginners
  • Consistent pattern and texture
  • Tested for fusing - 96 COE
  • Compatible with all the System 96 range of glass

Please note that the photo above is a general representation of glass colours which may vary from piece to piece. Sizes are approximate.

This product contains colourants that may react and cause colour-shifts when fused. Test a small sample to preview results before using in a larger work.

Amber Mixes – Important Information About Colour Shift

Amber/Opal glass mixes are known for their rich, warm tones in the cold sheet. However, the same colourants that create these beautiful hues can react during firing. When heated, these reactions may cause the glass to deepen in colour or take on a slightly muddied appearance.

Because the degree of shift can vary between batches and firing styles, we always recommend running a small test piece before using Amber mixes in a key project. Lower temperature processes such as tack fusing may show less colour change, while full fusing or extended heating can intensify the reaction.

It won't look like this after fusing...
    By Sally Cartwright

I adored this glass when it arrived, stunning combination and had high hopes for a project I was working on. Sadly, when this was fused at tack temperature the amber in it went grey! Not what I wanted and extremely disappointing. The two stars I gave is just because it is beautiful and I will have to use it in stained glass work only, which is not what I actually needed it for at all. Rather expensive to be sitting on a shelf waiting for the right project...
