Black is one of the most versatile colours in any glass artist's palette. It's ideal for striking silhouettes, Art Deco designs, gothic stained glass, contemporary geometric artwork, decorative lettering, monochrome illustrations and dramatic backgrounds that allow brighter colours to shine. It also blends seamlessly with other colours in the Reusche Hot Glass Series to create charcoal greys, muted tones and deeper, richer shades, making it invaluable for shading and adding depth to complex compositions.
Unlike pre-mixed enamels, Reusche Hot Glass Series paints give you complete control over your painting process. Mix the powder with Gum Arabic and water or your preferred Reusche painting medium to achieve the perfect consistency for everything from razor-sharp detail and calligraphy to smooth, glossy colour fills. Because these are true glass enamels, the final gloss, opacity and colour intensity develop during firing. We recommend testing a small sample on clear glass first so you can evaluate the finished fired result before completing larger stained glass or fused glass projects.
