Stained Glass Two Day Course
If you are a beginner in glasswork and want an in-depth look at the craft behind stained glass windows and mirrors, then this is the course for you. Run from our Bristol studios.
This is a LEVEL ONE course - Suitable for beginners.
What does the course cover?
As opposed to our taster day course, this two day course provides a more detailed look at making a stained glass panel, working on more elaborate designs within a template. You will choose your glass from our vast selection and our expert tutors will show you how to cut it to a pattern. You will then be taught how to cut and shape your lead came, solder it, cement it and polish it. You will complete a stained glass light-catcher or mirror to take home. The piece will be 12" x 12".
We offer a 10% shop discount for students while on the course (this excludes kilns, power tools and sale items).
With this course we are offering you the chance to learn key skills to begin a new glass hobby.
There is a maximum of 8 students on this course to ensure individual attention.
Note: This course involves working with lead, for safety reasons we recommend that pregnant women do not attend.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself and your enthusiasm! We provide all materials, glass, lead, solder and tools for your day. Please wear sturdy shoes (no open toes) and old clothes.
We will provide a delicious cold lunch as well as light refreshments throughout the day. Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements. We will do our best to cater to everyone but this cannot always be guaranteed.
What are the course times?
The course starts at 10am and runs until approximately 4pm. There is a chance that it may overrun depending on progress.
We will try to make our courses accessible to all however if you have any disabilities or physical limitations of any kind we ask that you discuss it with us before booking.

2 day stained glass workshopBy Jason Leggett
I just completed a 2 day stained glass workshop and was absolutely thrilled with my finished piece. I have been to a number of classes and workshops at the Creative Glass Guild (CGG) and have always been very pleased with the course content and the teaching. This class was no exception and Karen and Martin were truly great and were generous with their time and knowledge.
Thank you for a wonderful workshop and i will continue to recomend CGG for classes and helpful and professional staff.
