Edco Copper Foil - 3/16 inch
Edco high quality copper foil has the strongest adhesive in the industry and longest shelf life. Edco Copper foil uses a “dead soft copper” that adheres closely to your glass. This saves you time and makes your finished work stronger and more attractive. Edco copper foil is specially formulated to withstand every chemical normally used in stained glass work, so you will always be pleased with the final results. Edco copper foil lasts and lasts, so you don’t have to use it all right away, even a year later, it’s as good as the day you opened the package.
- 0.1 mm thick, 3/16" (4.8mm) wide x 36 yard (33m) roll
- Our narrowest copper foil for delicate soldering work in your copper foil panels and tiffany lamps
- Copper backed - Opaque Glass
- Silver backed - Mirror (so you don't see a copper reflection)
- Black backed - Transparent Glass (so you see a shadow rather than the copper adhesive)
Tip: We recommend using K grade solder when copper foiling as it flows better from the soldering iron due to the higher tin content. This will make the job much easier!

Decrease Edco Quality
By Caroline FranklandIt's such a shame to need to highlight this as I used to swear by Edco as a foil to use but the last few batches I have received have been terrible quality. I've encountered frequent tears and creases in the edges of the foil and it's driving me nuts! I was hoping at first it was simply a faulty batch but it seems to be an ongoing thing now so I think I will need to investigate alternative manufacturers. Creative Glass Guild did it's usual well packed and prompt delivery and the foil's packaging had obviously not been damaged so it's obviously not a handling issue from them. It looks like a manufacturing issue.

Value for money is reflected in the quality...
By Louise BentleyThis copper foil taught me a lesson in paying for quality. I bought a much cheaper roll elsewhere online initially, and to put it bluntly, it was awful!
I immediately headed to creative glass and did what I should have done in the first place, bought a quality roll!
The foil not only stuck better, it made my work pace much more fluid and consistent. Would 100% purchase again.
